Our Story & Mission
Girls are often taught to be careful — but not always how to feel confident, aware, and in control of their own safety.
Girl Aware was created to change that.
What began as a passion for helping girls feel safer and more confident has grown into an approach grounded in experience, care, and purpose.
Girl Aware workshops empower girls with practical skills that build awareness, confidence, and personal safety in everyday life.
What sets Girl Aware apart
✔ Real-World Experience: Led by a former Police Officer and Detective with over a decade of frontline experience.
✔ Practical, Usable Skills: Participants learn strategies they can apply immediately in real-life situations.
✔ Trauma-Informed Approach: Workshops are delivered in a safe, respectful, and age-appropriate environment.
✔ Engaging and Empowering: Sessions are interactive and focused on building confidence — not fear.
Girl Aware was founded with a simple mission: to help girls grow up aware, confident, and empowered to trust their instincts and navigate the world safely.
